The conference was held under the theme “Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis in the Era of Population Ageing: From Recommendations to Clinical Practice in Vietnam.” The programme brought together medical professionals to update their knowledge and exchange clinical experience in the prevention, diagnosis and management of osteoporosis and osteoarthritis.
The scientific programme featured four scientific sessions and 20 professional presentations, covering a broad range of topics in musculoskeletal health. Key areas included the global and national burden of osteoporosis and osteoarthritis, treatment gaps, emerging approaches to fracture-risk prediction, applications of artificial intelligence and trabecular bone score (TBS), as well as advances in medical treatment.
Further sessions focused on nutrition, physical activity and personalised treatment, including the management of patients with comorbidities such as diabetes and chronic kidney disease. The programme also addressed orthopaedic management, including hip fracture care, joint replacement and vertebral fractures, as well as pain management and emerging treatment approaches.
A particular highlight of the conference was the 20th anniversary celebration of the Ho Chi Minh City Osteoporosis Association (2006–2026). The anniversary provided an opportunity to reflect on two decades of professional development, knowledge sharing and efforts to improve awareness and care in musculoskeletal health.
The conference also featured the “SALAD FIRST” community initiative, which aimed to connect healthcare professionals and the wider community through education on healthy nutrition and musculoskeletal health.
Through its participation in the conference, Bridge Healthcare Representative Office and B.H.C Pharma Co. Ltd reaffirmed their commitment to supporting professional education and the exchange of medical knowledge in Vietnam, while strengthening connections with healthcare professionals and partners in the field of musculoskeletal health.
