The conference was organised as part of the Centre’s regular scientific and educational activities, in conjunction with World Rheumatism Day on 12 October and World Osteoporosis Day on 20 October. It also marked the 55th anniversary (1969–2024) of the establishment of the first Department of Musculoskeletal Medicine and the development of the musculoskeletal specialty in Vietnam.
The annual conference provided a valuable forum for physicians, nurses, scientists, social organisations and healthcare stakeholders to exchange scientific knowledge and information, raise awareness of the impact of musculoskeletal diseases on patients and society, and discuss strategic directions for the continued development of musculoskeletal medicine in Vietnam.
